Which Ammo Should You Use for Self-Defense? By Jason Hanson(content)All right, I've got this beautiful lever action gun. This is a Winchester. I'm out at Guns Blazing Ranch with Mr. Bobby Blaze right now and we're going to have fun shooting this gun right now. Shooting up some water bottles and other stuff. Alright, we're getting ready to shoot this lever action gun. And before we start the video, obviously, do you really carry a thousand dollars worth of cash on you? Well, in the intelligence business you always want to have cash overseas and I said I have no idea what I mean. I know I've got several hundred dollars but let's count it up. I have my CIA money clip, which of course you don't really carry. I bought this when I was leaving the agency in the gift store. So 5 56, somebody's going to have to count. 20, 40, 60, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. Is anybody actually counting that? We're at like 800 or somewhere around there. Alright, so 800 bucks at a minimum. I always have 300. That is like the absolute minimum in case you have to bribe an official, right? Not official. Maybe brought my way out of the police. Crooked police overseas. Nothing legitimate. Okay, now we're ready to load this bad boy and actually start shooting. So pop this in here.

All right, we just shot the water bottle with the lever action gun. You saw how awesome that exploded. Now what we're going to do is we've got two bottles side by side. I'm shooting nine millimeter. However, the first round is just going to be the cheap typical ball ammo, the stuff you use for training. The next round is going to be a high velocity hollow point round and we're going to see how that differentiates from the cheap training ammo. So let's go over here. Let's get this loaded up. Alright, we just shot one of the water bottles with a standard ball ammo, the cheap training stuff. Now we're going to shoot it with high velocity hollow point round. So let's step back here and we're going to see what happens.

All right, let's compare these two. So this bottle right here, this was shot with standard ball ammo. You can see the entry, the exit, it's still got water on it, nothing, no huge round or huge wounds or anything. Then this one was shot with the hollow point high velocity rounds and you can see that this bottle is having a much worse day, which is why I always recommend for home defense use jacket at the Hollow Point rounds. Don't use the cheap training ball ammo. If somebody's breaking into your house to kill you. You want them to look like this, not like that. I want to thank Bobby over here at Guns bla and Ranch for having me. It's been an awesome day. And make sure to subscribe for more videos from each of us.
